With the tourist rental of your property, you can expect the following costs: advertising platform and booking reservation fee (e.g. Booking.com, AirBnb or tourist agency), guest check-in and check-out service cost, cleaning between guest shifts and bed linen washing and ironing cost, internal and external maintenance of the property with its equipment cost, utilities cost, the cost of consumables and the occasional cost of small inventory (e.g. broken dishes or lost cutlery), as well as the residence tax fee for guests and annual public charges (tourist tax and membership fee and tax per bed).
With the long-term rental of your property, you as the property’s owner only bear the costs of long-term maintenance of the property (e.g. replacement of worn-out appliances or painting), which of course depend on the condition of the property in which it was given out for rent, as well as the cost of tax and surcharge on the rent, while all other costs are borne by your tenant (except reserve fund cost if any).
